GOALIE CAMP
INFO
Goalie's will work separately with
specialized goalie coaches on the first three days of Goalie camp. They will be
integrated into drills and scrimmages as the week progresses and finally be assigned a team
to finished out the camp.
This is by far the most intensive goalie
training on the West Coast taught by the top goalie coaches in the
West.
Goalie arrive a day before the main camp
and spend several days going over the intricacies of goalie play
before they are integrated into drills, scrimmages and games.
This camp fills very quickly so you must
register as early as possible. We do not accept more than 20
goalies, no exceptions
GOALIE CAMP
TRAVEL
AIR TRAVEL
All air
arrivals must arrive in San Diego between 9:00am and 12:00pm on on Tuesday.
All Departures, both main camp and goalies should leave San Diego
after 3:00pm on Sunday. The airport is called San Diego International Airport.
We will have staff at the airport collecting the campers and putting
them on a shuttle to San Diego State. Campers are to congregate at
the baggage claim where a staff member will deliver them to the
shuttle. Anyone traveling to San Diego arriving at the Commuter
Terminal, MUST catch the RED BUS. The
RED BUS will take you to the main
terminal where you should go to the baggage claim area. There will
be an additional travel fee of $35.00 for all campers traveling by air.
This fee should be sent along with the travel form if you are
requiring Airport to SDSU transportation.
ARRIVAL BY CAR
Campers who
have drivers licenses can drive themselves to camp with approval
from their parents, but we do not encourage this. At check in,
parking permits will be given that will allow the camper to park for
the week in the dormitory parking lot only. All car keys must be
checked in with the Director upon arrival. The camp and/or the
University are not responsible for theft or vandalism to any
vehicles while they are parked at camp. Anyone using their car
during camp will be asked to leave immediately and without a refund,
no exceptions!
DROPPED BY PARENTS
This is the way we
encourage local campers to arrive. This way, parents can meet most
of the staff during check-in and discuss any issues they might have
prior to the start of camp. The camp store will be open and staffed
during check-in so parents can get required or desired gear before
the sessions begin. Parents can also pick up game schedules so they
can plan attending contests during the weekend of camp.
