All injuries will be handles by qualified personnel only! Injuries requiring medical attention will be taken to Alvarado Hospital, which is, located ¼ mile from campus. Kaiser facilities are located just a few miles away. If treatment is needed, parents will be notified immediately by cell phone. At Great Western, our number one concern is for player safety. Therefore we do not allow over aggressive play at our camp. Medical insurance coverage is the responsibility of the parents. Our camp is fully insured and can be used as secondary coverage. Our carrier is the US Lacrosse Sports Accident & Liability Insurance Program handled by Bollinger, Inc. We have had no serious injuries in our 24 years of operating our boy’s camp. We have certified athletic trainers on staff and most of our coaches are CPR & First Aid certified as well. If you have any concerns, please do not hesitate to call the Director.

Camp Accounts can be set up so your child doesn’t have to travel with cash to camp. An account will be set up so the player can buy items in the camp store throughout the week without having to exchange money, which will eliminate any chance of lost or stolen funds. All camp accounts are fully refundable and the money left at the end of camp will be sent to the parent after Camp. If you would like to set up an account, please fill out the CAMP ACCOUNT FORM provided and send it in along with a check. Please indicate it is for a camp account in the memo area on the check.
PLEASE-PLEASE- PLEASE-PLEASE- PLEASE-PLEASE- PLEASE-PLEASE- PLEASE-PLEASE- PLEASE- PLEASE-PLEASE- PLEASE
If you plan to use this service, please feel free to do so. BUT…
Please do not put money into an account if the camper is not going to use it.
Please tell your daughter she has an account.
Any money left in the account under $10.00 will be donated to Great Western Lacrosse

Parents are encouraged to attend the game sessions on Friday evening & Saturday, as it is a great way to see your daughter in action against players from around the west. Game schedules can be obtained during check-in at the dormitory. There are two rules if you do attend her games… No negative comments of any kind and do not embarrass your child in any way.
We at Great Western feel it is important that the parents get involved with their child’s lacrosse experience no matter what age. The more interest you show, the more opportunities she will have to play this great sport and possibly further her education through it.

Thank you in your interest in a sport that I love so much. It is my quest to provide the best possible teaching medium and training opportunity for all young lacrosse players in the west, no matter what level of experience they may be. Any information and/or ideas that you can give me on how to make my camp better, please feel free to drop me a note anytime during the year. My main goals are to spread my love, knowledge & enthusiasm of this great sport; work hard to get young players an education through the sport and lastly, get you all hooked!
Thanks you for the support for my Great Western Lacrosse Programs.
