The Great Western Lacrosse Company has been teaching young lacrosse players the greatest game on the planet for 26 years. Great Western Lacrosse was created in 1984 by Russ Olsen while a student at San Diego State University. It began with just boys lacrosse, but 5 years ago, expanded into the girls game and is committed to being the best lacrosse teaching entity, in the West, for both genders. This company is dedicated to the promotion, expansion and teaching of girls lacrosse in the west. Our company attends tournaments around the west promoting our camp, offering raffle scholarships and giveaways. We are open to suggestions by teams, as to price breaks, if you may want to send large groups to our camp. We hold our camp at top quality facilities, have excellent staff and loads of fun while learning. We also offer private and group lessons for girls to get the extra help they might need to propel their game. We hope to see many of you out there somewhere on the field.

RUSS OLSEN
Russ Olsen has been involved in lacrosse for over 30 years and running camps and clinic for 27 years. He has been involved in all aspects of the game including league administration, refereeing, coaching and playing lacrosse. He learned his lacrosse at Novato HS and went on to college at San Diego State where he set the Career Scoring Record in 1986. (still holds it today) He has coached lacrosse for 21 years. He spent 10 years at Patrick Henry HS in San Diego winning 8 City Titles and won the State Championship in 1995. He coached at Serra HS in San Diego for 4 years where he won 3 City Titles and won the State Championship in 1998. He coached at Novato HS in Marin County, California and is currently the Head Varsity Boys Coach at Canyon Crest Academy, since its inception, and the Head Coach of the Scripps Ranch Pee Wee program in San Diego.
