CAMP DORM LIFE
We live in the Chapultepec
Dormitory on the Campus
of San Diego
State University. The players will get to experience what it is
like to
live in a dormitory setting
on a college campus. The rooms are double occupancy and air-conditioned.
Each floor has two community
bathrooms and a large television lounge.
All players must bring their
own bedding, either sheets
and a blanket or a sleeping bag, as the University does not provide them.
They do provide a pillow but you
might want to bring a pillow case. Each player will be issued a room
key
that lets them secure their room
when they are on the field, eating
a meal or hanging
out at the pool. A lost room key costs $35.00 but we issue each player a
lanyard and this helps them keep track of their key during the week. The dorm has a large game room on the lobby level
that the players can use and is complete with a
foosball table, two pool tables and a ping pong table. There is also a
television lounge in the game room. We have several play station lounges with large screen televisions set up
throughout the dorm where players
can meet and compete against other players in guitar hero, madden football
and other games for prizes. We have a camp store on the lobby level of the dorm where players can come
to see the latest in lacrosse equipment,
apparel and accessories. They can
also buy snacks and refreshments from the camp store using
cash or a camp account.
The players, as
well as the staff, will take all their meals
in the multipurpose room right
in front of the dorm.
The staff will also be roomed on each floor, among the players, for proper
supervision. If a player wants to take a tour of the San Diego State Campus,
all he has to do is ask and a tour will be arrange during a free period on
one of the days at camp.
We supervise the
players at all times...in the dorm,
on the fields, in the cafeteria and at the pool.
