GREAT WESTERN
FALL INDOOR LACROSSE SEASON
SEPTEMBER 25th THRU DECEMBER 18th, 2010

 The Great Western Boys High School & Middle School Indoor Lacrosse    
 League will hold its 15th annual season between the dates listed above.  
 All Indoor Games games will be played on Saturdays, between 10:00am
 & 4:00pm, at the  Poway Sportsplex at 12349 McIvers Court, Poway, CA   
 92064. 
 These leagues are NO-HIT leagues and are used for off season training
 and just plain fun. 
 You can obtain an application by clicking the GREEN BOX below.
 Applications will be accepted anytime by mail. Below are the rules and
 regulations for the 2010 league this fall...

IMPORTANT
All Parents coming to games to watch will be required by the Poway Sportsplex to pay a $2.50 entry fee. It is for security reasons and you will get a $2.50 drink token to redeem on site. There is no way around this so plan accordingly.

REGISTRATION INFO
ANYONE CAN REGISTER ONLINE
Fees can be paid online by credit card.  Anyone registering online by credit card should
mail all required paperwork by September 18th.  Those registering on the day of the event will be charged the higher rate. No paperwork, no play.

These TWO ( 2 ) FORMS must be mailed to Great Western Lacrosse by

They can be printed from this site or they can be obtained from the playing facility on game day. To get the discounted cost, you must pay prior to the first day of the League by mail or online by credit card.

HIGH SCHOOL PLAYERS NOT REACHING THEIR 19th YEAR PRIOR TO DECEMBER 18th and have not yet played college lacrosse

Game times are between 11:00am & 4:00pm

OCTOBER     - 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd
NOVEMBER  - 6th, 13th, 20th
DECEMBER  - 4th (Play-offs), 11th (Final Four)
DECEMBER  - 18th (Championships)

BOYS MIDDLE SCHOOL LEAGUE
All games will be played on Saturdays...
Game time for MS are at 10:00am
These are the following dates for the 2010 season...

SEPTEMBER - 25th "OPENING DAY"

NOVEMBER  - 6th, 13th, 20th
DECEMBER  - 4th (Play-offs), 11th (Final Four)

LEAGUE INFORMATION

WHAT THE LEAGUE PROVIDES
The league provides the facility, referee, goals, field equipment, awards/certificates, a jersey, week to week statistics
available on the website.

GAME FORMAT
Games are run in 25 minute, running time halves with a
5 minute half time. In the event of a tie, a 2 minute, sudden death period is played. Still a tie, Braveheart. As games run
back to back, all players must don their equipment on the grass area next to the rink, NOT in the bench areas.
It is imperative
that you show up at least 30 minutes prior to your game.

TEAM ASSIGNMENTS
All players will be assigned to a team. Teams are put together depending on the number of players coming from a particular area. The maximum number of players allowed on a team is
20 and 1 Goalie. The minimum number of players allowed on
a team is 15 and a Goalie. Individual players will be added to teams that require a player.

To get on the field, you MUST have your Jersey, NO EXCEPTIONS !
As the high school lacrosse league is now under CIF rules, rest assured
that playing in this league will not affect your eligibility on your school team. As an outside agency, we run this league as a recreational event. The teams of our league have no affiliation to the CIF league or any school that fields a lacrosse team..

AWARDS / HONORS
You must play in 7 games to be eligible for League Awards
The following awards / honors will be given in the
High School League at the conclusion of the season...
ALL COUNTY, FIRST TEAM = 5 forwards and 1 goalie
ALL COUNTY, SECOND TEAM = 5 forwards and 1 goalie
ALL COUNTY, THIRD TEAM = 5 forwards and 1 goalie
ALL COUNTY, HONORABLE-MENTION TEAM = 5 forwards/1 goalie

LEAGUE MOST VALUABLE PLAYER AWARD (1)
LEAGUE MOST IMPROVED PLAYER AWARDS (3)
LEAGUE ASSIST CHAMPION (1)
LEAGUE SCORING CHAMPION (1)
LEAGUE SAVES CHAMPION (1)

Middle School League at the conclusion of the season...
ALL COUNTY, FIRST TEAM = 6 PLAYERS
ALL COUNTY, SECOND TEAM = 6 PLAYERS
