FALL INDOOR LACROSSE SEASON

The
Great Western Boys High School & Middle School Indoor Lacrosse
League will hold its 17th annual season between the dates listed above.
All Indoor Games games will be played on Saturdays,
between 10:00am & 4:00pm, at the Poway Sportsplex at
12349 McIvers Court, Poway, CA 92064.
These
leagues are NO-HIT leagues and are used for off season training
and
just plain fun.
You can obtain an application by clicking the GREEN
BOX below.
Applications will be accepted anytime by mail. Below are the rules and
regulations for the 2012 league this fall...
IMPORTANT
All Parents & Players 16 years of age and older, coming to the Poway
Sportsplex will be required by the Poway Sportsplex to pay a $2.50 entry fee. It is for security reasons and
you will get a $2.50 drink token to redeem on site. There is no way
around this so plan accordingly.

Fees can be
paid online by credit card. Anyone registering online by
credit card should
bring all required forms to your first game. No
paperwork, no play.

HIGH SCHOOL PLAYERS NOT
REACHING THEIR 19th YEAR PRIOR TO NOVEMBER 10th and have not yet
played college lacrosse
ARE ELIGIBLE TO PLAY.

Game time for MS are between 9:00am & 12:00pm

LEAGUE INFORMATION
WHAT
THE LEAGUE PROVIDES
The league provides the facility,
referee, goals, field equipment, awards/certificates,
a jersey, week to week statistics
available on
the website.
GAME
FORMAT
Games are run in 25 minute,
running time halves with a
5 minute half time. In the event of a
tie, a 2 minute, sudden death period is played. Still a tie, Braveheart. As games run
back to back, all players
must don their equipment outside the bench area next to the rink, NOT in
the bench areas.
It is imperative
that you show up at least 30 minutes prior to your game.
TEAM ASSIGNMENTS
All players will be assigned to a
team. Teams are put together depending on the number of players
coming from a particular area. The maximum number of players allowed
on a team is
19 and
1 Goalie. The minimum number of players allowed
on
a team is
15 and 1 Goalie. Individual players will be added to
teams that require a player.

To get on the field, you MUST have your Jersey, NO
EXCEPTIONS !
As the high school lacrosse league is now under CIF
rules, rest assured
that playing in this league will not affect your
eligibility on your school team. As an outside agency, we run this
league as a recreational event. The teams of our league have no
affiliation to the CIF league or any
school that fields a lacrosse
team..

You must play in 6 games to be eligible for League Awards

High School League at the conclusion of the season...
ALL COUNTY, FIRST TEAM = 5 forwards and 1
goalie
ALL COUNTY, SECOND TEAM = 5 forwards and 1
goalie
ALL COUNTY, THIRD TEAM = 5 forwards and 1
goalie
LEAGUE MOST VALUABLE PLAYER AWARD (1)
LEAGUE MOST IMPROVED PLAYER AWARDS (3)
LEAGUE ASSIST CHAMPION (1)
LEAGUE SCORING CHAMPION (1)
LEAGUE SAVES CHAMPION (1)
