SHOOTING
CAMP
FORMAT
Our shooting camp also includes the teaching camp in
the camp fee. Shooters
arrive a day before the teaching camp players and spend 5 sessions learning
shooting
skills. These skills include overhand, sidearm and
underhand shooting, bounce shooting, faking, using a screen, shooting on the
run, outside and close shooting and shooting off the dodge. As the main
camp starts on Wednesday evening, all shooters will be integrated into
the
teaching camp along with the shooting coaches.
The play at our camp is controlled and structured. We
do not allow body
checking at any time during camp.
Over aggressive play is dealt with
immediately.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Shooting camp will
begin using drills without goalies in the cage. After these drills are
exhausted, the shooting camp will combine with the goalie camp and work
drills with goalies in the cage.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Our
Director and our staff go above and beyond what most camps do in regards to
evaluating a player
shooting skill. It is vital to the player that he take
information given and use try it out. You must ask questions if you do not
understand something, that's
the way you learn.
When integrating into the teaching camp on Wednesday evening, all
players are evaluated during drills so we can match them with the proper teaching groups and move them
immediately if their experience and skill level dictates. This behind the
scenes discipline is what sets us apart from the rest.
We hope to see your
son at Shooting Camp this
summer. You better register early as this camp is
very popular and usually sells out. Take a chance with us,
we won't let you down.
