TOURNAMENT
INFORMATION AND TOUR
Below is some information about our
tournament. To get the

Dates
July 15th, 16th & 17th, 2010
Teams arrive on Wednesday, July 14th,
between 4:00pm & 8:00pm...
Teams depart on Saturday, July 17th,
between 2:00pm & 6:00pm...

Teams
We accept only 8 teams for the
tournament.
Teams are accepted from the United States and Canada.
Player Eligibility
We accept players entering 9th, 10th, 11th & 12th grades in the
2010-11 school year. (or to put it another way...players who just finished
their 8th, 9th, 10th, or 11th grade in June 2010)
NO graduated seniors are allowed
in the tournament,
NO EXCEPTIONS !
Referees
All of our referees are
certified by the San Diego County
Lacrosse Officials Association. All are certified high school
referees and many are certified collegiate referees. One of our
referees is certified and works in the National Lacrosse League.
Housing
Teams will stay in the dormitory on
campus and take their meals
in the University Dining Hall.
Tournament Format
The Tournament is three days in length.
The 8 teams will be split into two divisions.

DAY 1: Thursday is round robin
competition within each division.
Each team will play three game on Thursday, games being two,
30 minute, running time, halves. In these games, each team gets
one time out per half. There is a five minute half time. This round
robin competition will determine the seeding for the elimination
brackets.
DAY 2: On Friday each team
will play two games within the
elimination bracket. These games are HS regulation, twelve
minute, stop timed, quarters, with a ten minute halftime. Each
team gets one time out per half.
DAY 3: On Saturday each team
will play one game. We will play
the Championship Game, 3rd place game, 5th place game and 7th
place game, to determine the order of finish.

coaches will select an All-Tournament Team consisting of the
following...
Three Attackmen, Three Midfielders, Three
Defensemen,
One Goal Keeper, One Face-Off Specialist and One Pole
Midfielder.

The Winning team will have its name
added to the perpetual
trophy kept at Great Western Lacrosse. They will also be given a
Championship trophy to take with them.
